Outsourced Business Manager (OBM)
In the service that Trajectify coaches and consultants performs for its clients, we’ve noticed patterns in growth-stage pain points that inhibit companies from meeting goals. Even in our own growth we have experienced such needs and, last year, hired a Business Coordinator. Our team has been able to accomplish so much more given our investment in the role and we doubled revenues in 2019. To complement the growth opportunities that we offer clients, we’ve developed what we’ve learned into a service, an outsourced Business Manager.
Business managers are responsible for overseeing and supervising a company's activities. Growth stage businesses rely on the business manager to keep the team aligned with the goals of the company in areas that are critical to its success.
The outsourced Business Manager is intended to be a part-time and interim role. In our process of working within your operations, we will learn enough to also help you find someone to fill the role full-time and permanently should that be a desired outcome.
Specific responsibilities we’ve addressed include assistance in:
Project Management, planning and execution of a project with a defined scope, start and finish; point of contact for issues and discrepancies arising from within contributors to control or reduce escalations.
Content & Social Marketing, planning, creating, and sharing of content to attract and convert prospects into customers, and customers into repeat buyers; establish thought leadership; including content calendar, managing writers, and social media.
Sales Development, outbound prospecting including lead gen, lead qualification, moving leads through the sales pipeline, managing CRM, with the goal of making the salesperson and selling process more effective.
Account Management, managing sales and relationships with particular customers or clients with the goal to increase retention or discover further opportunity; assisting service companies and agencies with tracking activities for customers.
The OBM can also provide General Administration including process mapping, development and documentation; event planning; group scheduling; office management; executive assistant.
The scope of the work done by the OBM is customized for each client. Company-specific training is provided by the client. The OBM has support and development provided by all Trajectify coaches and consultants, and has access to their collective knowledge and skills.
